Transcranial ultrafast ULM of brain vasculature in patients

This video was created to highlight the first use in clinic of the ultrafast ultrasound localization microscopy imaging technique. This imaging technique may facilitate the understanding of brain haemodynamics and of how vascular abnormalities in the brain are related to neurological pathologies.

The real data (2D velocity vector field) were converted (Matlab) and imported in the 3D software (Houdini) and then rendered as an animation. The particle's color was mapped to velocity value and their size to the local density.

To go with the paper, a cover was created and selected by the scientific journal Nature biomedical engineering, more info here.
