Cover for eBioMedicine journal
This cover was created to go with the paper titled "In vivo whole brain microvascular imaging in mice using transcranial 3D Ultrasound Localization Microscopy". The main goal for the creation of this cover was to emphasize on how the vasculature is reconstructed with Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (ULM). Microbubbles, injected intravenously, are detected and tracked individually thanks to ultrafast plane waves and by accumulating their trajectories it is possible to reconstruct the brain vasculature at a spatial resolution of 20 µm, an order of magnitude smaller than the ultrasound diffraction limit.
A video was created to highlight the strength of this imaging technique.
